What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Helper position at Capstone Mechanical?
Overview of Duties
- Picking up the necessary parts from distributors for restocking Capstone inventory as directed by the Logistics Manager.
- Delivering parts from inventory or distributors to installation technicians at jobsites.
- Coordinating with the Logistics Manager for efficient allocation of time and service to the proper job sites.
- Coordinating with the Logistics Manager to ensure adequate inventory levels and need for pick-up and delivery of parts.
- Receiving of in-coming shipments, thoroughly checking for quality control and storage in the proper area.
- Sorting and proper storage of duct work.
- Occasional clean-up and maintenance of Capstone facilities.
- Help to maintain the appearance/cleanliness of Capstone vehicles.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Physical ability to perform all duties noted above, including the ability to lift and carry a 100 lb. load (of the size and shape of an item encountered on an HVACR job) a distance of 50', carry a 100 lb. load up a fully extended 32' ladder. Must not be afraid of heights (acrophobia).
- Current Texas operator’s license and the ability to drive all types of vehicles in the corporate fleet within 30 days of initial employment. The incumbent must be insurable by Capstone’s current insurance carrier. Minimum driver age is 21.
- Some forklift experience desired.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work under pressures of time, a non-standard schedule, adverse weather conditions, and backlog constraints.
- Good reading, communication and interpersonal skills, and a team player.
