Salary: $24.25 per hour, increasing to $25.25 within 6 months.
Summary:
The Building Maintenance is responsible for performing various tasks to maintain company grounds and facilities. Tasks include maintaining, adjusting, assembling, installing, dismantling, troubleshooting, and repairing building plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, HVAC, and minor electrical utilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform building upkeep and repairs including drywall, painting, masonry, window sealing, flooring, ceiling tiles, etc.
- Perform carpentry projects including platforms, tables, shelves, cabinets, hanging signage, fixtures, and other items.
- Troubleshoot and perform plumbing installations and repairs, to include toilets, sinks, drains, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, water fountains.
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing of facilities equipment including HVAC units, boilers, reverse osmosis system, water softener systems, etc.
- Assist with contractors as needed for projects, building safety system inspections and repairs.
- Maintain a constant workflow by managing assigned tasks via the business management system.
- Conduct troubleshooting and installations tasks with remote guidance and instructions.
- Operate a pallet jack, forklift, scissor lift, and other powered equipment.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year building maintenance or related experience preferred
- 1 year experience in a production setting preferred
- Industry related training and/or certifications; i.e. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general carpentry (advantageous) (NATE, BOCES, Community College, apprenticeship, etc.)
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand for 8 hours
