This role ensures high-quality, timely output of printed materials such as brochures, mailers, signage, point-of-sale displays, and other marketing items. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple print jobs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate digital printing press (Verdant 280 Press) to produce high-quality marketing materials.
- Review job tickets and specifications to ensure accuracy of print setup, substrates, and finishing requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of press equipment to reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and the marketing team to ensure brand consistency and color accuracy.
- Calibrate machines and perform color management for optimal output.
- Perform finishing operations such as trimming, binding, folding, or laminating as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized print production area.
- Monitor inventory levels of paper, toner, and other supplies; notify supervisor when reordering is needed.
- Maintain records of print jobs and assist in scheduling priorities to meet campaign deadlines.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training preferred.
- 1 years’ experience operating digital press equipment in a commercial or in-house print setting.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality control.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (especially Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Some familiarity with RIP software (e.g., Fiery, Creo) and prepress file setup (PDF workflows).
- Understanding of variable data printing and data merging tools.
- Background in marketing/graphic design or working within a creative/marketing team environment.
- On-site role within a marketing department.
- Collaborative environment with marketing professionals, designers, and production teams.
