General Summary:
The People Operations Coordinator aids with and facilitates the people operations processes. This position resolves people operations problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The People Operations Coordinator makes sure that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the people operations function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance, recruiting, benefits, and people operations systems.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Completes E-Verify, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
- Assists with new-employee background checks, onboarding documents, itineraries, and agendas.
- Assist benefits as needed.
- Conducts audits, EEOC yearly report, State compliance reports, Unemployment Claims, and Employment Verifications.
- Assists with processing of terminations, performance reviews, and LMS System
- Assists with recruitment and onboarding of new hires. Tracks status of new hires and responds with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Makes copies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
- Maintains employee files.
- Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- HRIS experience required, Paycom experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience preferred
- At least two years related experience required.
