Job Overview/Summary
- Involved in the financial oversight of 4 current consumer products entities as well as future entities to be acquired and/or established including support of business needs, processes and improvement opportunities
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions for one current consumer products entity and a new entity to be established including staffing requirements and development, SAP G/L, financial reporting, excise tax reporting, external and bank audit requirements
- Assist with administration of MSA obligations for three entities – this includes reporting to PwC (the Independent Auditor for MSA); correspondence with our attorney to give proper notice to the states and PMs; wiring of funds
- Assist with administration of consumer product entity(ies) duty drawback claims for goods
- Oversee international sales administration of consumer products including tracking of customer POs, billings, collections, revenue recognition and coordination with logistical movement of goods
- Participate in project management of SAP/system implementations and improvement projects
- Assist with preparation of annual budget for 4 consumer products entities as well as future entities to be acquired and/or established
- Assist with any audit items related to 4 current consumer products and distribution
- Oversight of compliance reporting for 4 current consumer products entities
- Preparation of financial modeling as needed
- Involved in contract review – customer, lease, services, etc.
- Preparation of customer profitability analysis as needed
- Prepare monthly reports for consumer products entities to assist in month end closing process
- Oversee fixed assets for consumer products entities in Sage
- Oversee fixed assets for all legal entities for tax, AMT and ACE depreciation reporting
- Involved with preparation of various tax reports for external auditors to assist them in preparation of tax returns
- Prepare and file monthly import reports with TTB and FDA for consumer products entity(ies) importation
- Assist with cash flow forecasting for consumer products entities
- Prepare and file various tax reports (e.g. sales and use, property, franchise, 1099s, etc.) for certain consumer products entities
- Involved with presenting annual budgets for consumer products and distribution to board
- File and prepare importer’s permit
- Travel to subsidiary locations on a regular and as-needed basis
- Other duties/projects as assigned
Successful Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- 8-12 years experience with large diverse company(ies) and/or multiple business streams
- Heavy SAP experience, proficiency in excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Multi-task oriented, organized and able to handle competing priorities to attain company goals
- Supervisory experience including staff development
- Proficient in USGAAP with CPA preferred
- Consumer products experience preferred
- Work well across entities, departments and management levels
