POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Native Corporation has Intern opportunities.  You MUST be a voting Afognak Native Corporation Shareholder to qualify for these positions. Positions are available in multiple Afognak and Alutiiq, LLC locations. Afognak Native Corporation is administering a Summer Intern program for summer 2024. The Afognak Native Corporation Intern program provides Afognak shareholders currently enrolled in high school or college with work experience and an opportunity to explore career options. This is an eight-week intern position designed to expose a student to job functions here at Afognak Native Corporation.

• Learn how to set priorities and self-motivate.
• Acquire comprehension of what “Cultural Citizenship” means.

Payrate: $18.00 Hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications:

• Must be either a current high school student or plan to graduate with a diploma from high school no more than 7 months prior to the internship start date; or a current college student or be registered for the fall semester prior to the internship start date.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.

Required Experience:

• Must have attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Basic proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
• Commitment to learning
