Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Family Medicine
Location: Marshall, MI
Assignment Length: 3 Months (possibility of extension)

Shift: Monday–Thursday: (Days) 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday: Half Day
Weekend Requirement: Yes

Role Overview:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), supporting both clinical and administrative operations to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. This is a full-time, day-shift contract role ideal for CMAs experienced in ambulatory or outpatient primary care settings.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:

• Escort patients, take and record vitals, height, and weight
• Document medical and medication histories accurately in the EMR
• Prepare patients for exams/procedures and assist providers
• Collect specimens and administer medications/immunizations (IM, SQ, Oral, Nasal)
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and adhere to standard precautions

 
Administrative Duties:

• Answer phones and address patient inquiries professionally
• Schedule appointments, process referrals and prior authorizations
• Accurately register patients, ensure documentation is scanned and compliant
• Communicate effectively and uphold exemplary patient service standards

 
Required Qualifications:

• Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
