You will be part of the M&A & Transformation team and report directly to the Head of M&A for the Americas. You will work closely with the top management of local North American team and various Group departments such as Business Development, Finance and Operations.
In an international environment, you will be responsible to support & sometimes lead Integration of newly acquired companies as well as support local strategic projects participate the M&A team on acquisition process and strategy.
Partnering with all departments of the company (sales/R&D/ Operations/Finance…), your mission will be to work on data analysis, strategic presentation, financial analysis, preparation and implementation of detailed action plan for the management and work on the implementation good practices to optimize the performance of the acquired companies.
Responsibilities:
M&A
You would work on on-going M&A projects and prospection, you will:
· Evaluate M&A investment and strategic opportunities in the food ingredients industry
· M&A process: financial analysis and valuation, identification of the risk areas and potential synergies during the audit DD phase
· Work with external advisors (Legal, Tax, Finance, strategy, …) and coordinate the different stakeholders to ensure the fluidity in the process
· Prepare market screening based on Solina M&A strategy
· Prepare presentation on investment opportunities for the Executive Team and investment committee
· Support key document negotiation
Integrations
You will be a key representative for the Group in recent acquisitions, working with both Group functions and local teams on post-merger projects, with short to mid-term on-site missions (weeks/months):
· Preparation of the detailed integration plan
· Implement and ensure the follow-up of the local projects according to the integration plan (data analysis, production process improvement, pricing strategy, procurement synergies, R&D plan, sales development…)
· Report on integration progress and major projects to top management
Being part of Solina M&A & Transformation Department, you will also work on transverse and global added-value projects, enjoying missions in various countries and covering different functions (cost controlling/optimization, procurement synergies, operations support, group strategy etc.).
Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:
· Advanced degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Agricultural & Consumer Economics, or Business Administration/Corporate finance is required. Both being a plus
· Experience in the Food Industry or food sector is a plus
· 2 to 4 years of experience in M&A/Transaction Services/Financial department/Strategic consultant
· Strong analytic skills in data and finance
· High attention to detail
· Strong interest in food industry and food products
· Curiosity, open-mindedness, and excellent interpersonal skills
· Entrepreneurial spirit, hands-on, action oriented and flexible approach, innovative, pragmatic and solution oriented.
· Strong ability in presentations (PPT) to summarize key take-aways and deliver the right messages.
· Strong ability in Excel to handle and analyze large volumes of data
· Financial analysis skills (P&L / BS/ CF …)
· Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and leading projects
· Travel is essential for your job (30% of the time)
