CMM PROGRAMMER QA INSPECTOR

We are a best in class AS9100 aerospace machine shop in Elk Grove Village that is recruiting a CMM PROGRAMMER / INPSPECTOR to join us at our new location, in a hi-tech, completely remodeled, paperless, industrial modern facility.
Our business is expected to rocket in 2023 and we are ramping up our workforce - NOW!
POSITION SUMMARY
As a CMM Programmer/QA Inspector, it is your responsibility to inspect machined parts in a timely manner in order to keep production flowing smoothly. This will require creating and modifying existing CMM programs, operating the CMM and measuring parts with various hand measuring tools all while recording data in ERP. You will need to work alongside other employees to troubleshoot out of tolerance dimensions with a clear path on how to rectify.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Create new and modify existing Zeiss Calypso CMM programs for all CNC machined parts.
- Perform all First Article Inspections and record data in ERP.
- Perform in-process inspections as required.
- Resolve out-of-tolerance concerns and advise machinists of the proper path to conforming parts.
- Perform incoming inspection of subcontracted work including, but not limited to, machine parts, raw materials, post processing finishing.
- Create and properly document non-conformances.
- Inspect part within time requirements of job.
- Understanding and basic knowledge of AS9100D and ISO9001.
- Hand gage measurement experience of all types of gages (i.e. micrometer, caliper, height gage, profilometer,).
- Proficient use and knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Visually inspect parts for dents, dings, FOD or other non-conformities.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine shop environment (aerospace preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of Zeiss CMM experience utilizing Calypso software
- Ability to handle parts with care
- Communicate well with team members

- Keyence IM-7030 Digital Optical Comparator
- CNC Machining experience
- Mastercam experience
- Certifications or Degrees in quality assurance
