Job Summary

The work of Strategic Consulting at Casey Family Programs is to proactively seek ways to assess and support child welfare systems improvement and set direction for the work in specific states, jurisdictions, and regions. This position is responsible for providing project coordination and management for significant Strategic Consulting work efforts in the Southeastern region, and administrative support to Strategic Consulting leadership.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provides coordination, manages, and tracks major projects and events for Systems Improvement work in the Southeastern region. Identifies capacity needs to ensure effective and appropriate use of resources to ensure projects achieve desired outcomes. Works with internal and external staff and contractors to identify requirements for efforts; develops and communicates timelines for planning, tracks and reports progress of projects; manages budget; identifies and communicates changes to project scope or timelines. Provides leadership and oversight of organization and delegation of duties for Southeastern region meetings and collaborative events.
  • Oversees and manages the full range of administrative business functions including contract administration, facility management to include equipment monitoring, facility maintenance, building management liaison, security, and other office operations as needed.
  • Responds to incoming inquiries on a wide variety of issues and works extensively with other support units to complete work processes and ensure resolution and timely completion of projects.
  • Drafts and edits memoranda, reports, presentations, and other documents as requested by Systems Improvement leadership.
  • Supports in the development of the budget. Provides ongoing budget monitoring and variance analysis; prepares budget adjustments as needed. Works with staff to ensure accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and other financial items.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 7 years of project and operations support experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Demonstrated experience managing strategic and day-to-day operational and technical aspects of multiple projects while effectively meeting deadlines.
  • Experience acting as liaison to internal staff and external partners, keeping them up to date on project statuses (including detailed information about activities, timelines, and deliverables) in a collaborative manner that achieves positive results
  • Strong organizational skills, critical thinking, and effective written and verbal communication skills are needed. The ability to work autonomously and exercise independent judgment is required.
  • A broad knowledge of computer software is required. Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite are needed.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality of sensitive information by learning and following all relevant policies and protocols and using sound judgment in the handling and sharing of that information.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift and reach for light objects; close visual acuity to prepare and analyze data, text, and figures; ability to type utilizing a computer keyboard; ability to travel to outside locations; and the ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time as a primary job function. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Local travel as well as out of town travel may be required, up to 30%. Driving on Casey business may require use of personal vehicle; adherence to vehicle safety guidelines and qualification for insurance is required. 

Casey Family Programs requires a COVID-19 vaccination for in-person work. Therefore, all employees will be required to present proof of vaccination status unless they qualify for a medical or religious exemption. 

This position is based at our Atlanta, GA office.

The base salary for this role in Atlanta, GA is $69,100.00 to $86,100.00 annually.

Casey Family Programs offers benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage, health and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts, eligibility for 403(b) and 401(a) retirement plans, disability, basic life, employee assistance plan and business travel insurance. Additionally, employees are eligible to accrue paid time off, starting at 8 hours per month of annual leave and 8 hours of sick time per month in the first year of employment. Casey Family Programs also observes 10 paid holidays per year and each employee receives one personal holiday to use each calendar year. Employees that meet certain tenure qualifiers are eligible for up to eight weeks of parental leave for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. After the completion of 10 years of continuous, full-time employment, employees in good standing are eligible for a three-month sabbatical with pay.  Casey Family Programs also offers many opportunities for continued learning, training, and development.
