What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Space Attendant position at Castle Rock Asset Hospitality Management LLC?
OVERVIEW:
Our Public Space Attendant is known for their thoroughness, swiftness and focus. They are able to care for rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, locker rooms and other work areas quickly while paying close attention to cleanliness and detail. In this position, you will be responsible for cleaning and refreshing guest and work areas through tasks like vacuuming floors, dusting furniture, cleaning bathrooms, polishing surfaces, emptying wastebaskets, replenishing supplies and any other duties necessary to achieve optimal cleanliness in each guest room. This is a guest-facing position, so you will need to be able to communicate with all guests in a friendly and warm manner. You will also need to be able to walk and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Clean public and employee restrooms and showers.
Clean glass in public and employee areas.
Clean floor surfaces in public or employee space using designated chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Dust surfaces in assigned area.
Empty trash containers, ashtrays, and ash urns in public areas into proper containers.
Inspect condition of furniture for tears, rips, and stains and report damages.
Clean and maintain lights.
Post caution signs to limit traffic when necessary.
Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments.
Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships.
Comply with quality assurance standards.
Follow company and department policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; wear nametag; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
Follow property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters).
Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
Have access to reliable transportation and follow attendance policy
ADDITIONAL POSITION DUTIES:
Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Housekeeping Leadership.
Assist in other areas as needed.
Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any reports of theft.
All other duties as assigned.
OTHER:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with policies and procedures for the safe and effective operation of the hotel’s facilities.
