OVERVIEW:
The food service worker is responsible for the day-to-day preparation, cooking, packaging, and serving of food in Cataloochee’s Lodge Cafeteria. A food service worker will be expected to deal directly with the public on a daily basis. The food service worker participates in the day-to-day cleaning of the building, restrooms, and outside areas of the ski area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain health, sanitation, and safety standards in all work areas.
- Operate large volume cook equipment such as grills, ovens, deep fat fryers, tilt pot
- Verify prepared food meets required quality and quantity
- Present a clean, neat appearance
- Wash dishes using a commercial dishwasher and washing by hand
- Focus on safety and safe food practices in the kitchen
- Familiar with and proactive in adhering to North Carolina Food Codes
- Clean all public areas in all occupied buildings
- Clean all restrooms on property
- Empty all trash and recycling receptacles in public areas and carry to designated containers

- Must be able and willing to work a varied schedule (weekend, holidays and nights)

- Must be able to physically move throughout the resort comfortably and quickly
- Must be able to stand for a long period of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
