What are the responsibilities and job description for the Harvest Production position at Caviness Beef Packers?
Overview
Employee must be willing and able to work in different aspects of the beef packing industry. Ability to work in hot/humid conditions and stand for the entire shift. In addition, you will be required to wear all PPE and follow food and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Cut, trim, skin, sort, and wash carcass in preparation for further processing.
- Use tools and machinery including, but not limited to, knives, hocks, wrap products, scales, grinders, and other hand or power tools.
- Work in a hot and humid environment
Qualifications
- Ability to work around blood and other strong odors.
- Ability to perform repetitive motion using your hands/arms/wrist
- Must be able to meet physical demands of the job - pass physical for position
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry objects
- Must be able to wear all PPE for job requirement
- Must follow all food and safety protocols
- Prev experience preferred
