INFANT-TODDLER CLASSROOM AIDE (Fairview Center Early Head Start) –
Assists the teacher in providing developmentally appropriate activities and care to
promote the health, nutrition, education and safety of the children.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of early childhood education practices, generally gained through six
months of experience caring for infants and toddlers preferably in a center-based
environment
Infant Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred upon hire –
and required after two years
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
High school diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License, current auto insurance and a good driving record
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Pre-hire: Fingerprinting/Background Check
Health Report
Post-hire: Annual Physical/Health History
CPR and First Aid Certification
Food Worker Card
Proof of current Driver’s License and auto insurance
GENERAL INFORMATION:
Location: Fairview Center Early Head Start
Supervisor: Center Coordinator
Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/wk), full-year (48 weeks/yr)
Salary: $17.27 – $23.03 per hour DOE and education.
