How you will make an impact:

The Mental Health Technician - Intake:
  • observes, escorts, and monitors patients
  • reports observations to the Registered Nurse
  • provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
  • assists patients with activities of daily living; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean environment
  • engages patients in positive role models recovery oriented behaviors

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
  • Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, preferred.
  • Knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self-care, preferred
  • Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant or other relevant credentials preferred.
  • Must successfully complete Handle with Care before being assigned patient care and recertify at the required intervals
  • Must successfully complete CPR and Service Excellence within 90 days of employment and recertify at the required intervals
  • May be asked to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

This is not a remote position - you must be located in the Portland area.

Salary : $41,300 - $52,300
