Location: Must be local to Rahway, NJ and onsite 2-3 days a week
JobType: Starting out as a part time role, expecting to get to full time hours within 3-6 months
Compensation Range: $85-90/hr W2
Cella has an exciting opportunity for an ACD who has expertise in pharmaceutical video content. This role sits within an award-winning in-house agency within a major pharmaceutical company. This role will oversee creative on videos, websites, copywriting and other creative communication deliverables that are largely internally focused.
The ACD will actively engage on internal communications video concepting, manuscript writing, and some promotional copywriting. The ACD provides creative leadership, including concepting, scriptwriting, storyboarding, production, and post-production for internal video and content production. This position will focus on shaping the creative vision for all content-related projects within the in-house agency.
The ACD will be hands-on and will guide the concept development and execution. This person must exhibit outstanding creative judgment, superb expertise in video and content production, and be able to guide their team in achieving the highest possible standards appropriate for all materials regardless of medium. The ACD maintains a working knowledge of clients' business challenges and leads innovative and conceptual solutions to address those challenges.

Responsibilities:
- Oversees a team of creatives and copywriters to create engaging content aligned to client and business needs.
- Guide the video production process, from scriptwriting to final execution, ensuring high-quality storytelling across digital and traditional channels.
- Ensure all creative content for promotional work aligns with regulatory and legal requirements (FDA, EMA, etc.) while maintaining strong brand messaging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including corporate affairs and promotional teams.
- Stay up to date with pharmaceutical industry trends, patient engagement strategies, advertising, and digital media advancements.
- Motivate the team to strive for excellence, consistently delivering high-quality work.
- Demonstrate the ability and willingness to step in and contribute wherever needed to ensure project success.
- Bachelor's degree required; MFA preferred with a preference toward copywriting or related field.
- Must have Pharmaceutical Agency experience.
- Minimum of 8 years professional creative and copywriting experience required.
- Minimum of 4 years management experience leading teams of copy and creatives required.
- Proven experience in creative leadership and delivering against client strategy.
- Hands-on expertise in video production, screenwriting, copy, and content creation for regulated industries.
- Expertise in holistic advertising and marketing, in both content and visual promotion and communications, with proven leadership in both areas.
- Strong understanding of video production and content creation best practices, tools, and technology.
- Strong understanding of FDA requirements for pharmaceutical marketing.
- Ability to navigate pharma regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex medical concepts into compelling narratives.
- Ability to collaborate well with cross functional teams.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software.
- Experience using Workfront a plus.
