General Description:
The coordinated specialty care program is a specific team-based program designed to provide early intervention services for individuals with first episode psychosis between the ages of 15 - 30. The Program Supervisor performs highly responsible administrative and supervisory work in planning, coordinating, directing clinical activities and resources. Responsibilities include development of staff, crisis management and development of community resources. Work involves developing program goals, objectives, development of schedules, priorities and standards for achieving program goals. Work under a dual supervision schema which consists of the Chief of Adult and Children’s Behavioral Health with considerable latitude for use of initiative and independent judgement. The Coordinated Specialty Care (CSC) Program Supervisor is responsible for providing team leadership and supervision to all clinical personnel, oversight of clinical programing and individual clinical care (with the support of other clinical LPHAs), as well as providing direct care, 15% of the time, to center clients. This role functions with a moderate level of independent judgment, the Team Supervisor for Coordinated Specialty Care, coordinates team activities, goals, while ensuring CSC program requirements are met.
Qualifications:
A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in psychology, social services or related field required and be credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP). Prefer a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. A minimum of 2-years-experience in mental health and mental disability field with crisis experience. Knowledge of mental illness, intellectual developmental disabilities, medications, resources and commitment procedures essential in performing a wide range of crisis duties. Professionalism in dealing with community officials and resources a must with good oral and written communication skills. Computer skills essential. Must be able to work in stressful situations. Position requires travel within a seven-county area while on call. A valid Texas Driver’s License with driving record to comply with CFLR is essential. If selected for this position, employee must give CFLR authorization to request copy of driving record as well as all required prescreens and background checks. Must be able to satisfactorily complete required staff development training.
