What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Development Coordinator position at Central Peninsula Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY: The Staff Development Coordinator assists the clinical nurse educator(s) with project support, recording educational learning opportunities as instructed, assists with set up and simulations and proctors tests for staff in the facility. The Staff Development Coordinator will provide literature searches for staff through Alaska Medical Library Consortium, providers and patients when requested. The Staff Development Coordinator will assist in answering phones, filing, poster creation, assist with signing learners up for classes and scheduling conference rooms.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- BLSP (CPR) from the American Heart Association
- BLSP - Instructor from the American Heart Association within 6 months of employment
- Safe Sitter - Instructor from an approved certifying agency within 6 months of employment
