SUMMARY
Oversees all slot activities on assigned shift in a specific area.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform minor slot machine repairs, preparing hopper fills and jackpots and communicating information to Floor Attendants, Technicians, Slot Shift Managers, Slot Operations Managers, and other departments.
- Communicates with Slot Performance Manager or designee regarding any and all needs affecting work performance, completion of duties, attendance and guest service.
- As directed, properly uses time keeping equipment and systems to record all time worked. Adheres to posted schedule and as adjusted by the Slot Operations Manager, relating to work hours, breaks, and duty schedule or station/duty assignments.
- Learn, understand and practice the Mountaineer Casino skills that apply to both guest and fellow team members at all times and in all situations. Reports to Shift Manger any problems, concerns or difficulty in meeting this responsibility.
- Read, understand and practice all policies and procedures as outlined in the Slot Operations Handbook, and Internal Controls. Takes appropriate action to report and policy violations or problems as outlined in the aforementioned documents.
- Make suggestions regarding any suggestions for improving guest service, department or job efficiency.
- Reports any items requiring maintenance or repair. Pays particular attention to safety related matters and reports such items immediately. If dangerous, takes precautions to prevent injury until help arrives to respond to the situation. (Example: An open, raised carpet seam in a busy walkway in which someone might catch his/her foot and fall)
- Follows proper procedures to ensure all gaming supplies and equipment are properly stocked, stored and secured.
- Maintains the integrity of slot machine equipment and secures all company assets, including assigned bankroll, and property at all times.
- Reports any incidents involving illness or injury to self of others, and any accidents or onset of illness incidents witnessed involving guests or other team members.
- Responsible to maintain confidentiality of all matters regarding guests, team members and the business operations. Required to cooperate with Company officials during investigations.
- Follows proper procedures for lost and found of personal items, found money or gaming tokens. (Contact Security Officer)
- Responsible for processing and verifying reason for all override transactions.
- Administers counseling and team member disciplinary actions as needed.
- Investigates player, as well as team member, complaints and determines basis of grievance.
- Responsible for issued radio and CDS card and its proper condition.
- Prepares W2-G vouchers for jackpots in the amount of $1200.00 and above, progressive jackpot documents, and ensures their accurate completion.
- Circulate and observe Floor Attendants, VLT Techs, and guests in their work areas.
- Observe WV Gaming Commission rules and regulations, and company and departmental policies and procedures that pertain to their job duties.
- Coordinates service needs on the slot floor by monitoring floor activities and guest service needs, receiving service calls, dispatching Supervisors, Slot Attendants, and Technicians, assisting with adjustments to the daily floor schedule based on business needs, informing Management when service calls are high, and recording games being placed out of service, games being placed back in service, and games down for parts or vendors according to established procedure.
- All other duties as assigned.
REPORTING LINE
You will report directly to the Slot Shift Manager then to the Slot Tech Manager.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.
- Must be able to read and write to ensure proper and accurate report completion.
- The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.
- The ability to work in a fast –paced environment and stressful situations.
- You will need to be available to work all shifts.
- You must be at least 21 years old.
- You must be able to obtain and maintain a VLT License through the WV Lottery.
- You also must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain a WV Racing License.
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
You will need to be able to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time. The ability to push, pull, kneel, twist, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Will be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment and seasonal elements.
