What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver - Group Home Aid position at CERENITY INC?
This is a PRN position for Group Home Caregiver- direct support professional. We are looking for staff who will be on-call to cover open shifts from call outs and or vacancies that are open.
Shifts range from:
Weekdays 3-11pm
Weekdays- 11pm to 7am (overnight)
Weekends- 7am to 11pm
Weekends-11pm to 7am (overnight)
Weekends- 7am to 3pm
Weekends 3pm to 11pm
Direct Support Professionals work with individuals with developmental disabilities. Duties may include:
- Assisting people with disabilities with daily personal tasks, including bathing and dressing
- Completing housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, washing dishes and keeping the homes clean
- Shopping for groceries and preparing meals that meet specific client dietary needs of people supported
- Encouraging engagement in social networks and communities with people supported
- Participate in community activities with people support to ensure engagement while ensuring their safety
- Document daily records on people support such as but not limited to: daily logs, behavior logs, vital logs, outcome/goal logs
- Communicate to the RN any health and safety issues as they arise
- Follow all instructions related to Nursing Care Plans, Person Centered Plans and Behavior Plans and other related records
- Communicate regularly to supervisor who oversees group homes
- Attend professional development trainings
- Participate in each person's person centered planning and received training on Person Centered Plans and Behavior Plans
- Report to shifts on time and prevent absents as this affects the lives of people supported
- If applicable- Certified Medication Technician requirements that require administration of medications, document on EMARs and secure all medications appropriately
- Other assigned duties
