Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining operations.
- Set up and operate manual machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
- Select the appropriate tools, materials, and machining processes for each job.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure workpieces meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document all production activities, including setup procedures, machine parameters, and quality inspections.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
