Position Summary: Primary responsibility to repair machinery, equipment or plant facilities. Welding and soldering experience preferred. Must be able to work (3) shift schedule and some weekend as needed. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: · Repair, fabricate and modify machinery, equipment, and plant facilities as directed. Receives instructions, drawings, sketches and blueprints from Supervisor or Group leader. Performs brazing and or soldering as required. · Operates industrial truck or tractors, mobile or overhead cranes and performs lubrication incidental to any maintenance work. · Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use. Responsible to maintain a clean and orderly work area · Operate shop equipment necessary for performance of repair of maintenance work. · Maintain written records as required. Work Relationships and Scope: Reports directly to the shift supervisor or Group Leader; Daily interaction with operations/operators and Set-Up employees. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Prefer 5 years industrial maintenance experience working in a manufacturing environment to troubleshoot, repair, and return operating equipment to production. Prefer 2 years of experience welding and soldering. Position requires good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures. Working Conditions: This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds is required.
