Key Responsibilities
- Lead accounting, billing, and accounts payable teams, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance
- Oversee monthly close, revenue recognition, billing, and financial reporting
- Ensure adherence to GAAP and federal/state compliance requirements (including Uniform Guidance)
- Strengthen internal controls and safeguard financial assets
- Support strategic planning and partner with leaders to enhance financial literacy and insights
- Manage banking relationships, cash flow oversight, and vendor/insurance partnerships
- Provide financial documentation for insurance renewals and external stakeholders
- Interpret complex contracts and ensure program financial compliance
- Champion process automation and AI-enabled improvements within finance operations
- Lead external audit coordination and ensure accurate, timely filings
- Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing finance team
- 8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience
- 3 years of leadership experience in an organization of 50 employees
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, and federal guidance
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience implementing or optimizing ERP systems
- Strong technical and systems aptitude
- CPA
- Nonprofit or public accounting experience
- Experience with NetSuite ERP
- 5 years of leadership experience in
