Family Support Program Clinical Supervisor (Full-time, 12-month, Exempt)
CHADS Coalition for Mental Health is a non-profit organization whose mission is to save young lives by advancing the awareness and prevention of depression and suicide.
Program Description:
CHADS Family Support program is dedicated to ensuring adolescents and their families have the emotional support and key resources needed to navigate a challenging mental health system. Through counseling, support groups, and post-crisis intervention (Postvention), CHADS specializes in assisting youth who are struggling with problems such as depression, anxiety, bullying, self-injury, and thoughts of suicide. Our target population is young people ages 10-25 who struggle with depression, self-injury behaviors or emotional issues.
Job Description for Family Support Program Clinical Supervisor
The Family Support Clinical Supervisor will provide additional support to the Family Support program and other
CHADS programs by:
- Providing support to Family Support (FS) Program Manager for all Family Support Programs including but not limited to marketing, implementation, and data collection.
- Provide compassionate counseling for adolescents and appropriate resources for their families.
- Encourage, support, and guide new, innovative ideas and program development that support suicide prevention education and training.
- Assist in the FS Internship Program and work with Program Manager to recruit graduate students and facilitate internship experience.
- Assist the Program Manager in ongoing Continuous Quality Improvement of the program, including internal auditing procedures, updating manuals, etc.
- Assist in the onboarding, training, and ongoing supervision of FS team members.
- Assist with Suicide Risk Assessment Trainings and Training Trusted Adults presentations on as-needed basis
- Promote Signs of Suicide, Family Support services, and the Social and Emotional Wellbeing Program to school administrators, faculty, and students as needed.
- Provide assistance and support to other program and agency staff as needed.
- Maintain 25% impactful (billable) hours out of 40 hours per week
Qualifications
- Required master’s degree in education or counseling or similar degree, with 5-7 years’ experience
- Minimum LCSW or LPC (or similar licensure) with experience working with populations age 10-25 and parents
- Experience in program development, oversight and growth
- Energetic with the ability to engage with youth, parents, and schools
- Excellent organization skills, time management, record keeping skills, and meets deadlines
- Experience providing clinical supervision to direct service staff
- Knowledge and compassion regarding suicide and bullying prevention
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Team-player attitude and ability to understand and effectively share the CHADS’ mission
- Desire to work in an environment of measurable accountability
- Must be comfortable using computer applications and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and live video conferencing.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
The salary range for this position is $58,656 - $68,640.
