- Position Summary
Chaminade University is looking for a highly motivated and creative individual to develop engaging digital content in the form of videos, social media, photography, presentations and multimedia applications bringing its marketing initiatives to life. This individual will create video vignettes through video, photography and other visual assets, ranging from quick turnaround photos and videos for social media to highly produced pieces in support of communications and marketing initiatives. Much of the produced work will be shared through digital channels on the university’s website, digital communications and social media accounts.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Duties (80%) :
- Video and/or photograph identified University events (occurring primarily on weekdays and occasionally in the evening or weekend).
- Coordinate the timely production of assets for marketing and communications purposes (i.e. social media, publicity, digital platforms, publications).
- Responsible for sourcing, curating, producing/re-sharing and executing content/posts/messaging on University’s social media accounts in alignment with annual marketing priorities using sound judgment and discretion.
- With consultation, develop, refine and execute all aspects of creative (visual and copy collaboration) for University’s social media accounts
- Monitor and steward consistency of creative appearance on University’s social media accounts.
- Plan, create and actively manage University’s centralized social media calendar incorporating strategic and unit priorities, campus events (as appropriate) and stakeholder collaboration.
- Film, edit, and deliver video and motion based assets for digital marketing in various forms such as highlight videos, tributes, documentary-inspired shorts and trending edits.
- Develop multimedia products by integrating text, computer graphics, conventional art, photographs and other media.
- Consistently takes professional, original, and high quality photography that is accurate, clear, and reproducible. Develops, plans, and organizes the overall technical photographic aspects of assignments.
- Ensure continuity in University brand and image within multimedia projects.
Secondary Duties (20%):
- Schedule and coordinate photography shoots for marketing use.
- Actively research trends and activity in social media and provide monthly report/update (discuss with supervisor, incorporate learnings/trends, make adjustments/improvements).
- Track and report monthly performance on identified, respective key areas (i.e. followers, engagement, awareness) for non-paid social media efforts.
- Collaborate with unit colleagues as well as campus departments on identified priorities, and promotions and serve as lead contact for departmental inquiries.
- Monitor University-related social media activity and immediately alert Communications Manager of flags or concerning content.
- Co-manage university’s photo and video archives.
- Manage complex projects to specific budgets and timelines.
- Maintains University multimedia equipment.

Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, or related field from an accredited university
- Three years of relevant experience. Equivalent combindation of education and experience will be considered.
- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with overlapping deadlines.
- Experience with DSLR and prosumer camera equipment or comparable hardware.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, graphic software and audio editing software.
- Ability to work independently, exercising good judgment and assuring high quality and accuracy in all work.
- Physical Requirements
Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
- Other Requirements
- This is a full time, exempt position. Forty hours per week (M-F) will be the general rule. However, depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and have a varying schedule when required.

Salary : $48,700 - $61,700
