What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housing Specialist position at Chapman Partnership?
SUMMARY:
The Housing Specialist in conjunction with the Community Housing Specialist and the Case Managers prepares residents for move-outs to permanent housing throughout Miami-Dade County.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a working knowledge of available units within the county in conjunction with Community Housing Specialist.
- Facilitate the efficient orderly progression of residents through the CoC and private sector housing placement process.
- Provide residents with sufficient information to be ready to sign leases and comply with lease requirements.
- Coordinate move-out to complete process of out placing residents into affordable permanent housing
- Revise, review and improve delivery of service to our clients.
- Performs other assignments or tasks as deemed necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- G.E.D or High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience as a case manager in a social services agency or equivalent, or, a minimum of one (1) year practical experience working with permanent housing providers and experience with the housing and rental market in Dade County.
- Valid driver license (State of Florida) and clean driving record.
