- Perform apprentice-level work in the operation of lightweight maintenance and repair equipment.Â
- Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on light equipment.Â
- Ensure equipment is serviced with gas, oil, water, and lubricants and perform major and minor repairs.Â
- Operate various equipment, including crew trucks, mowing tractors, bush hogs, zero-turn mowers, weed eaters, chainsaws, sprayers, jackhammers, striper machines, and other similar equipment and vehicles.Â
- Perform or assist with manual work to maintain parks and recreational facilities.Â
- May haul medium weight loads of brush, refuse, sand, crushed stone, cement, and asphaltic mix.Â
- Secure equipment in the appropriate place(s) following usage and ensure that equipment is returned clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, andÂ
- Six (6) months' work experience in the operation of lightweight trucks or related automotive equipment; orÂ
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.Â
- Must provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during regular working hours.Â
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
