Equipment Operator III

Multiple Positions AvailableUnder general direction, you

• Operate medium and heavy motorized equipment, including but not limited to medium reach and mini excavator, Jet-Vac, front-end loader, tandem dump truck, lowboy, etc., and operate other equipment as required.Â
• Perform ditch construction and maintenance.Â
• Occasionally perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment.
• May supervise a small work crew.Â
• Serve on the Critical Work Force Category 2 and there are times you will need to be on call on a 24-hour basis.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED, andÂ
• Two (2) years of experience in the operation of medium and heavy Public Works or construction equipment; orÂ
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.Â
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during regular working hours.Â
• Must possess and maintain a Class A Commercial Driver's License at the time of application.
• Must possess a Hazardous Material and Tanker endorsement or be able to obtain within six (6) months of hire date.Â
