📣 Project Accountant – Construction | $85–120K Bonus | On‑Site (4 - 5 days per week)
A growing, construction organization is looking for a Project Accountant to take ownership of financials across multiple active jobs. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys partnering with operations, managing job costs, and ensuring projects stay financially on track.
You’ll work closely with project managers and finance leadership to support budgeting, WIP, billing, reporting, and monthly close activities—all while helping optimize processes in a fast‑moving environment.
What You’ll Do
- Manage project accounting for multiple active projects
- Oversee job costing, labor/material allocations, and budget‑to‑actual tracking
- Maintain WIP schedules and support revenue alignment
- Prepare progress billings and validate project invoices
- Support monthly close and project‑related journal entries
- Collaborate with PMs to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Contribute to improving accounting workflows and tools
- Provide oversight or guidance to junior staff as needed
What You Bring
- 3 - 5 years of project‑based accounting experience
- (construction, engineering, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of job costing, WIP, and project financial cycles
- Experience with project accounting systems (Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, Foundation, Procore, or similar)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and shifting priorities
- Strong communication skills with both finance and non‑finance teams
