Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Graphic Design, Business, or related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. comfortable in a social media environment, including creating and submitting posts; ability to work evenings and weekends; ability to drive a County vehicle; knowledge of the methods, practices and techniques of marketing and community relations; demonstrated skill in graphic design and relevant software; employ various strategies and methods to market various events, programs, and services to a broad audience; consult with colleagues to design marketing campaigns and high-quality, well-written materials. Comfort creating materials about and talking about behavioral health topics including suicide and substance use. Current valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Based on the Virginia DMV point system, record must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months. Out of state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview. Records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date. Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.
Create and share content for agency social media and website. Create fliers and other print marketing and information dissemination materials. Create content for and manage digital and email marketing and information dissemination strategies. Represent agency at community events. Provide merchant education related to prevention topics including tobacco and gambling. Perform other work as required.
