POSITION SUMMARY
Intake Specialist is responsible for all Prestamos Web Leads. Loan Intake Specialist will coordinate the collection of all documents necessary to submit loans for analysis and underwriting. The loan Intake Specialist will communicate to applicant any additional information requested by credit analyst/underwriters during application process, and or inform applicants of loan declines/approvals.
Requires the ability to maintain accurate records, work with a wide variety of clients, and have computer and communication skills. Experience with SBA loan servicing and/or economic development loan funds a plus. Must be detail oriented and organized with flexibility to help achieve our overall team mission.

- Reviews pipeline reports daily to determine what tasks need to be completed
- Assists with loan submissions to underwriting
- Maintains current loan files by requesting updated documents
- Ensures conversations and email correspondence are documented in online loan platform
- Responsible for loan data entry
Responsible for interfacing with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from approval to closing including, but not limited to: obtaining all necessary support documents along with the appropriate fee information; overseeing the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with terms; assisting in collecting additional documents and promptly communicating loan status to all interested parties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Candidate should possess a minimum of a High School Diploma preferably a bachelor’s degree in Business Mgmt, Finance, or a related field, or a combination of education and 2 years’ experience in business lending/analysis and customer service
- Proven track record in business development and loan origination.
- Strong understanding of micro-loans, private loan pools, SBA 7a Community Advantage Loans
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and assess credit risk.
- Bilingual (Spanish)
