Child Adult Resource Services is seeking a multi-skilled individual with leadership qualities for our Program Coordinator position for their Day Service Center in Brazil. Applicant must have the ability to stay organized with task-based processes while managing larger project-based creative programs! This position supervises a team of staff who provide life skills training opportunities for adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. This position manages the caseload for client programs, attends quarterly team meetings with the individuals served, writes program goals for each person, maintains files, oversees our art gallery/gift shop, updates and oversees our electronic tracking system for services, develops interactive programming activities for services, and coordinates with community agencies/local schools/volunteer sites for partnering opportunities among other daily responsibilities. Must be willing to lead by example in a “hands-on” approach for teamwork development. Be a dedicated employee, strong attendance, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to coach/mentor/encourage others to succeed, accountability to program standards, strong people skills, ability to empower instead of enable, organization with work tasks and materials, follow-up, coordinate with team members and families, willing to assist with toileting/medical/dining care needs, high energy, consistent productivity, good time management skills, creative personality. Must have no criminal history and an insurable driving record per agency guidelines. Strong communication skills and a positive mentoring attitude is required for success in this position.
