What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advocate position at Children's Advocacy Center of Benton County?
- Provide non-offending caregivers with case management and support services
- Maintain consistent contact with families and others involved in treatment, investigation, and/or prosecution on assigned cases
- Provide crisis intervention and needs assessment to determine appropriate intervention and/or referral response
- Refer to, and provide children and families with appropriate resources
- Educate families on mental health impact and treatment options available
- Provide additional support through supplemental client visits as needed
- Liaison between the family and any involved agency on the multidisciplinary team (MDT)
- Facilitate medical or counseling team involvement as needed
- Provide services during office hours and on-call in rotation with the advocacy component staff at two locations - Little Flock and Gentry
- Foster open, positive relationships with agencies in the community and with MDT
- Attend community meetings and interface with professionals in the field of child abuse and social services as assigned
- Foster growth in professional development, staying up to date on best practice
- Liaison between the family and any involved agency on the multidisciplinary team (MDT)
