Essential Duties
- Understand and promote the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures.
- Work with a dynamic team of professionals including nurses and social workers in our foster care program for children with special medical needs.
- MFC Senior Social Worker Supervisor works in Partnership with RN assigned to cases. They will also work closely in collaboration on cases including conducting home visits together whenever possible.
- Plan, organize and supervise the work of a unit of professional social workers in delivering high-quality services to clients
- Monitor and review case management activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations
- Provide training and development opportunities for caseworkers to enhance their skills and effectiveness
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss case progress, challenges, and solutions
- Coordinate with other departments and external agencies to optimize service delivery
- Implement best practices in solution-based case management to improve client outcomes
- Handle complex or escalated cases and provide guidance to caseworkers
- Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to case management activities
- Prepare and submit reports to senior management on team performance and outcomes
- Ensure the confidentiality and security of client information
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to case management
- Supervise, train and evaluate caseworkers, support staff, and other assigned staff as needed.
- Utilization of CONNECTIONS, child welfare computer system.
- Provision of services for permanency of children.
- Coordinate Family Team Conferences.
- Provides in-person weekly, reflective supervision time to staff assigned and student interns.
- Provides support s and critically analyzes strengths and areas for growth
- Actively participate in case consultation This position is On-Call for emergency situations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- MSW or Masters in related field required.
- Minimum five years post master’s management experience.
- Foster care experience required.
- Excellent verbal, writing and organizational skills.
- Strong clinical skills and very good interpersonal/communication skills.
- Experience working with high need families involved with substance use and mental health disorders.
- Ability to deescalate situations and provide mediation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with youngsters with special needs.
- Experience in working with a team.
- Flexibility and Ability to meet deadlines.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
- Ability to maintain written case records.
