Christie Clinic's department of Fiscal Services is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant. Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Duties include the daily implementation of accounting practices. Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting is required. Proficient with MS Office applications including MS Excel, Access, and Word. CPA certificate/license desirable.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a normal office setting and may involve working irregular hours. Generally, Monday through Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Roll and update the compensation spreadsheets monthly, post compensation reports using MS Access and Excel. Assist the Manager in completing monthly compensation reports.
- Prepare and enter general journal entries (prepaid accounts, insurance, contractual maintenance, miscellaneous receivables, retail sales, vacation-sick accrual, clearing entries, etc.) related to the monthly financial close process by departmental deadlines
- Serve as a key contact for supporting end users with our retail inventory applications
- Review monthly accounts analyses and reconciliations.
- Prepare account analyses and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts based on account frequency schedule.
- Assist in annual audit document preparation.
- Assist in monthly accounting processes, running accounting reports and special projects as needed.
- Complete national health surveys as assigned
- Cross train and serve as a backup with identified duties currently performed by other Accounting Staff.
