POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chemical Operator I, operates equipment or semiautomatic system that processes chemicals into specified products. Ability to operate at least 1 work cell
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow set initiatives to improve quality, cleanliness, safety, and productivity, and to reduce cost
- Knowledge of specific area of operating equipment through on the job training
- Knowledge of scales and measuring systems
- Interact with QC lab and R&D

Build production batches
- Read, follow, Fill out and maintain batch paperwork
- load and offload chemicals
- Operate pumps and filters
- Monitor temps and run speeds
- Trouble shoot basic equipment to determine problems, put in work orders for repairs
- Maintain work area for housekeeping, safety and 6S
- Work with team to achieve KPIs
- All other duties, as assigned
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of similar operator related experience (preferred)
- Certified to drive forklift required (or ability to certify within 90 days)
Knowledge & Skills
- Capable of working independently to manage day-to-day tasks
- Familiarity with an ERP solution (i.e. SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics ERP, etc.) (preferred)
- Creativity in approaching complex challenges and problems
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
