SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
Drive company vehicles when needed on assigned routes. Vehicles withing your license class of a class C (up to 12 passenger or more). Operate wheelchair lift safely. Make sure all paperwork regarding the transportation department are filled out properly and completely. Must be able to pass drug screening. Maintain a clean driving record.
Essential Functions (Job Duties)
• Pick up and deliver passengers on assigned route.
• Follows direction to ensure that vehicles are kept clean and safe. Follow PO list for vehicles. Notify the service department when due. Wash and detail vehicles when needed.
• Pre-trip inspections before every trip. Fill out pre-trip inspection form and summit to the transportation department when completed.
• Needs to be prepared for changing bus schedules reported by immediate supervisor or other management as required.
• Some duties in this class may need to be perform under periodically disagreeable working conditions, including working outside, at times in inclement weather.

Qualifications
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time/part time position.
Workweek schedule: Monday through Friday.
Hours of work: ____ a.m. to ____ p.m.
Hours and schedules may vary depending on bus run need and workload. Employees will be given as much advance notice as possible when such changes occur.
Travel
Must travel to job sites throughout the agency, using company vehicle
Required Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Three years of experience with CDL Class C (minimum)
3. Maintain company requirements for driving agency vehicles and POVs
4. Possession of a valid New York Class C Driver's License. Must be able to pass a DOT drug screening. Maintain a clean driving record, meet requirements to enroll in 19-A
5. Knowledge of: Wheelchair lift operations, tie-downs for wheelchairs.
6. Ability to: prepare estimates of time, and route if schedule should change, notify families/care givers of any and all changes in times of arrival and departure and give assistance to others as required.
