JOB TITLE: Tag Agency Clerk I
ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: Tag Agency
SUPERVISOR: Tag Agency Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt
PAY RANGE: $12.50 - $15.00
**ALL FULL TIME POSITIONS: In addition to your pay, your salary also includes Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance. The Biweekly deduction from employee paycheck is $40.00 for Employee Only, $95.00 Employee plus Children, $120.00 Employee plus Spouse, and $140.00 Employee plus family. **
JOB SUMMARY: Clerk will assist Tag Agency with day-to-day operations as required. This position is an entry level position to learn all policies and procedures required for processing vehicle registrations.
**NOTE** CONFIDENTIALITY IS STRICTLY ENFORCED IN THIS DEPARTMENT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work in a detailed, organized manner.
- Work as a team with staff members.
- Assist tribal members with new and renewal registrations.
- Schedule appointments.
- Assist tribal members by phone with information relating to registration.
- Keep track of staff availability.
- File documents accurately.
- Process incoming/outgoing registration and correspondence.
- Accurate data entry/proofreading for title and registrations.
- Ability to follow directions in a timely manner.
- Familiarity with computer keyboard, Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Be able to deal with difficult customers in an appropriate manner so as not to escalate the situation.
- Be able to receive money and count return change to customers.
- Be able to enter all data into Tag database accurately daily
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform other duties and projects as required by Administration and Management.
PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous tag experience preferred.
- Pleasant speaking voice
- Good communication skills
- Previous cashier experience
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- High School diploma or GED
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Light duties to include but not limited to some lifting up to twenty pounds (approx. 5% of job) and various other tasks
- Ability to sit for prolonged period of time doing repetitive movements on the computer.
- Some bending, stretching, and lifting.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Inside business office setting.
