What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Technician position at Citizens Memorial?
Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is recruiting a Patient Care Technician for the ICU/Telemetry department
The ICU/Telemetry department consists of 8 ICU beds and 8 Telemetry beds. We care for a variety of patients including cardiac, neuro, respiratory, GI and post-surgical. Our patient ratios are outstanding, and safe staffing is a priority. We staff with 1 CNA from 3 - 8 patients and 2 from 9 to 16. We also have a clerk to help support and care for our patients. We have incredible teamwork and work ethic, all taking care of each other in order to provide the best care possible to our patients. We live by the mantra “happy nurses provide better care.”
A typical day will include: Bedside shift report meeting and talking with your patients, vital signs throughout the day, helping your patient with hygiene and meals, preparing rooms for new patients, turning and walking patients, and answering phones and call lights.
The position is a Full Time.
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or higher (Preferred)
Experience: None needed… as we provide on the job training!
Skills: Good Communication Skills, Patience, Attention to detail, Flexibility, Intrapersonal Skills,
Licensure/Certification: CPR Certification (we provide this if needed). You must be Certified as a Nurse Assistant (CNA).
