Medical Assistant – EECP Program
(Inverness/Lecanto Offices)
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team and take primary responsibility for managing all EECP (Enhanced External Counterpulsation) patients at our Inverness and Lecanto offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver care for all EECP patients under physician supervision.
- Prepare patients for EECP sessions, explain procedure steps, and address patient concerns.
- Monitor, document, and record patient vitals and responses during EECP therapy.
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate EECP equipment as required.
- Update and manage patient records using EMR/EHR systems.
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments and ensuring smooth patient flow.
- Communicate effectively with clinicians, patients, and office staff to ensure high-quality care.
- Support the broader clinical team with general medical assistant duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a cardiology or therapy-based setting.
- Familiarity with EECP preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with EMR/EHR and scheduling software.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.
Work Details
- Full-time, onsite position split between Inverness and Lecanto offices.
- Monday through Friday schedule; no weekends.
