To ensure the safety of all persons using the outdoor pool facility, while maintaining a level of authority and respect. Job responsibilities include direct contact with children, adults, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assist with the coordination of aquatic activities.Lead, monitor, and maintain awareness of aquatic activities.Report program progress, problems and/or needs to supervisor.Carryout instructions promptly and efficiently.Monitor pool users and enforce pool rules.Uphold a well-rounded knowledge of general water safety.Perform life saving techniques, as needed (CPR, AED, & First Aid).Communicate information regarding aquatic activities to pool users.Perform maintenance, including: brushing, disinfecting, vacuuming, scrubbing, etc. of pool facilities.Provide ideas and suggestions for aquatic activities.Maintain attendance records, statistics and reports, as assigned.Set up/break down aquatics equipment.Maintain aquatics equipment and facilities, as assigned.Check and record water chemical balance.Perform administrative tasks, including: filing, completing park forms, collecting minimal user fees, answering and/or placing phone calls, etc.Maintain a professional image to the public at all times.Communicate effectively and demonstrate a professional demeanor to City staff and the public at all times.

Applicants will be required to complete a Disclosure & Authorization Regarding Background Investigation, a Confidentiality Agreement and a Level 1 background screening.
