Function
The City of Ankeny has a need for individuals who are interested in helping maintain the
124-acre sports complex fields and grounds.
Athletic Field Maintenance (9 months) - $18.00/hour; No benefits.
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Position will begin August 19, 2024 and ends November 30, 2024. Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Field Maintenance: Aeration, fertilization, sodding, seeding, construction and irrigation repair. Painting and chalking fields.
- Mowing soccer, baseball, softball, and football fields.
- Setting up fields for tournaments.
- Working softball and baseball tournaments.
- Event clean-up, changing garbage cans, and cleaning bathrooms.
Entry Requirements and Skills
- Possess and maintain a valid Iowa driver's license.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Candidates must be able to work outside in extreme weather condition.
