POSITION SUMMARY: The Stormwater Coordinator performs specialized technical work by developing and coordinating the City's efforts to improve the quality of water resources with a primary focus on compliance with the requirements of the City's Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit, as it relates to stormwater, best management practices, education, and outreach. The position requires independent judgment and initiative in developing methods and solutions. This position is under general supervision of the Director of Public Works/Engineering.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Water Resource Science or closely related field of study such as Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Geology, or Engineering.
- Six (6) years of experience in biological sciences, public works or related field may be substituted as determined of the Department Director.
- Two (2) years of experience in Stormwater management is required.
- Must possess a Floodplain manager certificate (CFM) or obtain within twelve (12) months.
- Additional licenses or certifications may be required for this class.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING
- Working knowledge of State and Federal Stormwater Pollution Regulations is preferred.
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be highly engaged in the department's goals, and be able to work cooperatively with Public Works/ Engineering leadership in achieving those goals.
- Must possess a high degree of integrity, strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service to the department's internal or external customers.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position.
- Must act safely and follow safety standards while at work.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings.
