EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerforms manual labor and uses hand tools to supplement equipment operationsAssists in snow removal and pretreating of City streets, sidewalks and bridgesAssists in the maintenance of City streets, right of ways and curb/gutter using a combination of construction and maintenance materials in conformance with City standardsPerforms all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures and safety practicesAttends work regularly at the designated place and timeSupports continuous process improvement initiativesPerforms related work as required
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Work Schedule Monday-Friday 7:00am to 3:30pmHourly RateThe PW Streets Maintenance Worker I position is covered under the AFSCME Bargaining Union, and all new hires begin employment at $21.46 per hour, regardless of years of experience. Employees in this classification receive a step increase on their anniversary. The steps effective 7/1/2024 include: New Hire1 year2 years3 years$21.46$23.74$25.09$26.39
