Administrative Specialist
The City of College Park is seeking an experienced Administrative Specialist to perform administrative and office support functions for the Department of Public Services as a member of the permit intake team. The successful candidate will have outstanding communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Some duties of an Administrative Specialist are:
- Permit application intake and processing. recordkeeping, data entry, scanning, and filing.
- Prepares correspondence and reports.
- Provides excellent customer service to visitors submitting permits and license applications, as well as general information to inquiries.
- Assist department staff with court documents and trial preparation.
- Other administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.
The selected candidate must have the following:
- An associate degree or equivalent experience in administrative support
- One year of experience in administrative or permit technician duties
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and customer service skills
Preference will be given to:
- Bilingual Candidates (Spanish, French and/or Mandarin).
- Experience with Accela, GOGov, and Tyler Software.
- ICC Permit Technician Certification
The starting hourly range is $24.80 - 25.92 DOQ, plus excellent benefits, including Maryland State Retirement.
