What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Lead- River Oaks position at City of Cottage Grove?
River Oaks Golf Course and Event Center is currently looking for a courteous, customer service driven and energetic Banquet Lead to join our hospitality team. We are 100% focused on the guest experience and this position manages all banquet staff and activities to ensure the group using our Event Center is completely satisfied with all aspects of their event. Banquet Leads are the front of the house for our events and are in charge of the floor staff, a liaison to the cooking staff, and serving guests in a friendly and speedy manner.
In addition to their hourly rate, employees will also be eligible for tips.

- Supervise and coordinate daily operation of meeting/banquet service
- Supervise and coordinate staff during event
- Ensure that set-up and services meet customer specifications
- Greet guests upon arrival
- Provide quick service for last minute changes
- Deal with customer requests and complaints
- Cleaning and coordinating of general housekeeping of the building before, during, and after events
- Flexible schedule and must be available to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Must be able to serve intoxicating liquor
- Experience in food and beverage service
- Knowledge of laws concerning the service and use of intoxicating liquor
- Professional and positive attitude
