Lead Crew Member - Street Sanitation
Starting Salary; $40,851
Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to preform general semi-skilled laboring tasks. Employees in this classification perform tasks requiring physical strength and stamina. Work involves preforming skilled laboring task in Street Sanitation, which means operating a variety of trucks and heavy equipment in accomplishing tasks.
Additionally, a Lead Crew Member will drive Street Sanitation vehicles to include street sweepers, water trucks, trash trucks, recycling truck, roll off truck, dump truck for snow and leaf removal, operates fork lift, and operates grass cutting equipment and landscaping vehicles. Lead Crew Member assists with training of employees on such equipment.
Auxiliary duties include assignments such as working during emergencies, weather events, and snow removal operations.
Incumbent must perform full range of duties as assigned with only general instruction and supervision. Must possess the ability to follow written & verbal instruction, and communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisory staff, and customers. Must possess and maintain a valid Class B VA. Commercial Driver's License. Criminal background and driving record checks required.
