What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard I, II, or III position at City of Garden City (KS)?
The City of Garden City is accepting applications for Lifeguard I, II, or III with Garden Rapids at the Big Pool for the Summer of 2025.This position is responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. This includes being alert and proactive to the occurrence of dangerous situations. A major portion of time will be spent performing patron surveillance, keeping a watchful eye over patrons visiting the facility. Other
responsibilities should not interfere when a lifeguard is doing this primary duty.Must be at least 15-years-old to be eligible for this position.
Lifeguard I - Entry level guard position.
Lifeguard II - One to three years of experience required. WSI certification Preferred.
Lifeguard III - Requires WSI certification. The head Guard is responsible for instruction of swimming lessons in accordance with guidelines and regulations. Supervision of Lifeguard positions I & II. Four to seven years of experience required.
