Hiring Salary Range: $38,385.00 - $54,763.00 Full Salary Range: $38,385.00 - $68,454.00
**The Hiring salary range and Full Salary range can vary depending on the job grade level of position, experience, and ASE certifications**.

The Light Auto Equipment Technician is an entry-level position that performs skilled tasks in the maintenance of a variety of Automotive, Light/Medium Duty Trucks, and Light/Medium Duty off-road equipment. The employee must ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures. This is a journey-level class in the Equipment Services Technician series. Employee's at this level perform preventative maintenance, NC Inspections, and general repair on Automotive/Light/Medium duty vehicles, trucks (non-diesel), and Light/Medium duty off-road equipment. (Trimmers, blowers, saws, generators, weed eaters, etc.) Employees at this level are required to be fully trained in all procedures related to assigned areas of responsibility. This employee receives supervision from the Equipment Services Supervisors, upper management, and upper-level Master Technicians. NC Emission/Safety Inspection License and Air Conditioning Recovery Certification within SIX MONTHS of hire date. The position requires walking, stooping, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. It also requires exposure to dust, grease, noise, heat, cold, and inclement weather. The employee must have their own tools. This job is Non-Exempt and is subject to the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED
- "OR" an equivalency of education and 6 years of "related" experience
- 4 years of documented Journey Level experience in Automotive/Light/Medium duty vehicles, trucks (non-diesel), and Light/Medium duty off-road equipment maintenance.
- Valid Driver's License
- Emission/Safety Inspection License and Air Conditioning Recovery Certification ("OR" the ability to obtain within 6 months from hire date)
- Class C Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Automotive Systems Technology, Heavy Equipment & Transport Technology or "related" field
- 5 years experience in Automotive/Light/Medium duty vehicles, trucks (non-diesel), and Light/Medium duty off-road equipment maintenance
- Certified NC Emission/Safety Inspection License
- ASE Certifications on Automotive Series.
- Emission/Safety Inspection License and Air Conditioning Recovery Certification

Work Schedule: First Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
