Provides daily guidance and interaction to campers (aged 5-12 years) in the areas of social skills, physical exercise, and arts and crafts. Position is a temporary/season position. Supervises Day Camp Counselors. Employee reports to the Recreation Program Supervisor.
- Plans activities for campers.
- Facilitates activities for campers.
- Plans arts and crafts projects for campers.
- Facilitates arts and crafts projects for campers.
- Plans outings for campers.
- Acts as chaperon while on outings.
- Supervises Day Camp Counselors in carrying out directives and assigned interaction with campers.
- Other duties as required.
- Must be minimum of 19 years of age.
- Knowledge of a variety of athletic activities.
- Knowledge of a variety of arts and crafts.
- Experience with children aged 5-12.
- Ability to interact with campers, family members, and the public.
- Abillity to direct, interact, and supervise Day Camp Counselors.
